I wanted to share with you that 2020 is coming to a close. Now while to many people this seems obvious in November, like many other things in 2020 that have been less than apparent, it may need to be simply stated. With that being said, the end of 2020 doesn't signal end to the COVID19 pandemic or the end to the ongoing changes that will occur to get us through this pandemic but it does signify that nearly a year has occurred and many changes initated since we first became aware of this novel SARS-CoV-2. I am praying that the vaccines are effective and safe, that families remain vigilant during the holiday season, and that we can socialize safely soon. With that my friends, enjoy the end of the year.

It is hard to believe. This year has been such a whirlwind and I have no idea where it has gone. We started the year anticipating opening another office and half-way through the year it became a reality. A lot of hard-work and planning. St Petersburg and Clearwater DO SLEEP SOLUTIONS, Inc. is open to serve patients of the greater Tampa Bay Area in sleep health. I have made it every bit of my focus to work on sleep health and sleep awareness. The SLEEPTALK groups have been well-attended and represented, the community events for sleep awareness and narcolepsy/hypersomnia have been successful and PROJECT SLEEP - Tampa Bay Sleep walk had over 100 attendees. Successful year. Thank you EVERYBODY for making it a dream come true! Looking forward to what the next year brings. - Dr. Zetoony
Narcolepsy is a complicated neurologic disorder that does affect entire body. We are discovering how to treat this slowly. Learn about some of the upcoming medications and therapies that are being used to treat hypersomnia and sleep disturbance in narcolepsy.
It is summertime in FLORIDA. The beginning of a hot and fun time. Traffic is better, kids sleep in a little later and there are many fun things to do. Make sleep a priority this summer. This does not mean that you sleep in until noon people. What this means is take a look at the late night hours, setting boundaries for sleep and food intake near/during sleep and avoid excessive napping.

Welcome to 2015. I am very excited to begin a new year with DO SLEEP SOLUTIONS. Last year was extremely exciting and rewarding. This year promises to be even moreso. As most of you who know me understand, I am very passionate about sleep and sleep disorders. Although my training is in a variety of areas, I choose to practice mostly sleep medicine because of this. The wide range of disorders and the tremendous improvement to health are a main reason. Something I am most proud of is the development of SLEEP TALK. This is a monthly meeting group where a topic is presented about sleep. It is free to the public and is sponsored by a variety of organizations includng medical equipment companies, private practice physicians and hospitals. The number of people this group can reach is overwhelming. A schedule is available. No RSVP is required. It is not a "sit in a circle" group. People share if they have questions or comments but it is completely up to the individual. There is something for everyone. Each group there is a homework assigment. This gets people to be held accountable for good sleep practices. This month we are going to focus on caffeine. Let's do a little less if we can and let's see what happens.
